Most visually impaired high school children in India drop math after middle school because they lack funds to purchase RBDs and tooling to enable them to pursue STEM education further.

Upgraded the Braille slate, a no–tech device with high usage amongst the VI community, to allow math to be written and read back effortlessly.

Clothing for Patients with Parkinson's

Patients with Parkinson's have always had to rely on unaffordable adaptive clothing or resort to wearing ill–fitting garments due to their loss of fine motor control.

Developed EasyFit, with patients in Guwahati, to enable them to independently dress themselves.

It replaces existing fasteners in shirts, kurtas, sleeves and pants.

Fundal Reflex Screening Camera

For many Indians, an eye checkup is an appointment that is never made.


Cataracts, retinoblastomas etc. are all conditions that have better prognoses when detected early, especially in young children.

Designed Forus' screening camera that leveraged the property of the red eye reflex .

The captured images are evaluated at scale with machine intelligence to detect issues early on.

Abhilasha Teacher Training

May 2019

Abhilasha was a design workshop conducted at IIT Guwahati to introduce high school children to design and help them think more critically.

In 2019, a special session was conducted to introduce teachers to design thinking and how it ties in with teaching.

As part of this workshop, we created supporting assets in the form of flash cards, to inspire teachers to teach with activities and showing them how to bridge play and curriculum objectives.
