The Last Five Years
The Clay Gorilla Design Company
Clay Gorilla was a studio I co–founded, to challenge the general notion of what design practice should be.
We viewed our studio as a partnership—engagements spanned across several months and we were usually embedded along with our clients' teams. In all but name, we were all teammates.
We built with some amazing folks and worked on several super fun projects. Some things we built included:
A product to help makers work in flow
Creating an industrial design language for a new market segment
Creating a visual identity for the world's most exciting AI tech
A game to help children overcome negative thinking patterns

IcarusNova
IcarusNova (Icarus Design) is one of the largest ID studios in India.
During my time there as an intern, I worked on redesigning a line of portable oxygen concentrators for a client (this was during the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic).
I helped uncover several problems with existing concentrator designs, from patients tangling on cannula hoses, flow issues because of old design choices and worked along with engineering to improve the design.
I worked on this from the research to the concept detailing phase.
Forus Health
Forus Health is a company that builds equipment to help catch and treat detectable eye conditions like cataracts and glaucoma before they become life threatening with people who cannot afford to pay for hospitals.
At Forus, I worked on the design of a fundal imaging camera that was based off the principle of the red eye reflex.
The biggest challenge working on this project was creating a form factor that would work well both mounted on a tripod as well as handheld when taking photos over a cradle for neonatal use.

IIT Guwahati
After working as a hacker for a few years, I found myself at IIT Guwahati studying the design process. Here, I had the most amazing opportunities, and got to work with some of the most incredible people.
From making a knife out of nylon, to learning to draw, to designing with empathy—it was a step forward in developing my taste.
For my graduation thesis project, I worked with patients with Parkinson's, and eventually ended up co–designing clothing adaptations to help them dress themselves.
